Kara Silvestri is a multidisciplinary artist and creative director based between New Jersey and New York City. An award-winning School of Visual Arts BFA graduate (2020) and current Senior Art Director at VML, her work spans creative direction, experiential design, advertising, motion design, UX/UI, filmmaking, acting, and music.

With a strong eye for color, typography, composition, and emotional storytelling, Kara has been fortunate to work across a wide range of creative mediums—from fine arts and digital experiences to advertising campaigns and film production. Her background in directing and producing naturally led to acting, which continues to deepen her understanding of human emotion, connection, and storytelling through both commercial and cinematic work.

Blending a diverse creative background with 15+ years of musical training in vocal practice, songwriting, guitar playing, composing original music, global collaborations, and live performance, Kara approaches every opportunity with curiosity, versatility, and an open, collaborative spirit. Her admiration for music continues to inspire and shape all of her creative endeavors—deeply influencing both her artistic voice and her visual/conceptual design work through rhythm, atmosphere, and emotion.

Known for her dynamic energy, detail-oriented mindset, and passion for problem solving, Kara is passionate to explore new ideas, push creative boundaries, learn through experience, and create work that feels meaningful, immersive, and emotionally honest.
